We had a version of this drink for the first time with Ethiopian food. The delightful deep and spicy notes of the food were balanced with the coconut lime mocktail to perfection. How to Serve the Coconut Lime Tini
As you can see from the photo above, this drink is best served in cocktail glass—also called a coupe glass. Here we use a standard martini coupe glass, but also think it would looking phenomenal in a rib coupe glass like the one featured here.
About Coupe Glasses
Coupe glasses, with their wide, shallow bowls, are designed to enhance the drinking experience by allowing more surface area exposure. This design intensifies both aroma and flavor by encouraging volatile compounds to rise more freely, which enhances the bouquet of aromatic cocktails or champagnes. The open shape also makes the drink more approachable for tasting since the aroma is more accessible to the nose.

Coconut Lime Tini Recipe

Equipment:
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 3 oz Nonalcoholic Rum
- 2 oz Thai Kitchen Coconut Milk (Unsweetened)
- 1 oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice (1 ¼ – 1 ½ limes)
- ½ oz Agave Nectar
Instructions
Preparation
- Squeeze Juice lime (approx 1 ½ limes).
Mix the Main Ingredients
- Add Nonalcoholic Rum, coconut milk, lime juice and agave into shaker with ice.
- Shake well and pour into cocktail glass.
Garnish
- Sprinkle of coconut sugar.
- Garnish with dried lime slice.
Notes:
- We use a sprinkle of coconut sugar as a garnish. The sugar is subtle but it’s intended to balance the tartness of the lime.
- You could use any garnish you like. For example, originally we tested this recipe using nutmeg—which was excellent. But it ultimately reminded us too much of eggnog, so we went with coconut sugar.
- Try some garnish options and let us know what you think works best.
